Everyone's going to miss my comment about the pilot being "Penny Dreadfully Boring" :(
The more games Teix misses (and the hints that he will need to get regular days off going forward to protect the wrist) the more I think that the Yankees should pick up a first baseman.
I think Morales is probably too pricey for them, but Eric Chavez would fit in perfectly, wouldn't he?

i don't know much about numbers and statistics and things of that nature, but wouldn't McCann be significantly shittier at a corner infield position than he already is?

McCann's offense is less valuable if he's not catching, but the question you have to ask is if the Yankees are better off with McCann at 1B and Murphy at catcher, or McCann at catcher and Player X at 1B.

First the Braves foist McCann on us then they roll over and play dead against the townies.
No way this team can contend with this infield and this lineup. Only way they could surprise me is if they sign Morales, meanwhile Teix and Beltran stay healthy. Otherwise, there's no chance to win the east.
Mark Reynolds might've been a decent fit. Better then KJ anyhow. Was he asking too much money?
